How to Handle Contract Discrepancies Like a Professional
About 25% of the time, when I receive a sponsorship contract, there is some kind of material error or omission that doesn't align with what I believe was negotiated.
Instead of getting mad and assuming the brand is trying to mislead me intentionally, I calmly reply:
"Thanks so much for sending over the contract! Overall, it looks great! Just a few things I caught (see attached for my comments)."
Remember, the brand or agency is probably working with 30 or 40 other partners, and since everyone has a slightly different SOW, it's far more likely their copy-and-paste skills suck.
The vast majority of the time, when I flag these discrepancies, the brand says, "Oops, sorry about that. Just updated it."

Trust me: the sponsorship process (and life) will be more pleasant when you assume people are nice, not evil.
