Ask the Brand for a Testimonial and Their Reporting Timeline
When you've just published your sponsorship and submitted all the final paperwork, chances are the brand is at peak happiness.
You've been a joy to work with, they loved the assets you produced, and your professionalism is on full display.
Now is the time to ask the brand for a glowing testimonial!

Simply send them the following message:
"Thank you so much again for this amazing partnership! Out of curiosity, could you share a sentence or two about your experience working with me that I could include in my media kit?"
Nine times out of 10, the brand will be happy to do it.
Here are a few testimonials April and I have received:
"April and Justin were fast to respond, an extreme pleasure to interact with, and it's the type of partnership you're hoping lands in your inbox so everyone can get their jobs done and get back to the pile of laundry waiting to be folded at home."
"Our experience working with Justin and April has been great! They are incredibly timely with their responses, flexible and accommodating, and they met all deadlines for our campaign with them. We loved their work and are excited to work with them again in the near future."
"Justin and April were an absolute dream to work with. From our initial outreach, we were blown away after receiving a personally recorded video expressing their interest and enthusiasm for this campaign. Throughout the campaign, they were prompt (and even early) on all deadlines, and all content was completely STELLAR and right on brief. We work with hundreds of creators each year, and we can confidently say that April and Justin were some of the best creators we've ever had the pleasure of working with. 10/10 recommend."
As a heads up, one out of 10 times that you ask for a testimonial, the brand will say no.
It's likely not because they're unhappy with your work but because their Public Relations team or client can't do it for fear of legal exposure.
