MEET JUSTIN MOORE

FOUNDER OF CREATOR WIZARD

Justin Moore is a Sponsorship Coach & the founder of Creator Wizard, a school & community that teaches you how to find & negotiate your dream brand partnerships so that you stop leaving thousands on the table.

Along with his wife April, he has been a full-time creator since 2014 and has personally made $4M working with brands. He also ran an influencer marketing agency for over 7 years that has helped other creators earn millions more.

Justin brings a very unique perspective because not only has he been a creator in the trenches doing sponsorships for years but by running an agency, he has insider knowledge of how big brands choose which influencers to partner with and why they pass on others. Justin's mission is to enable creators big and small to land 1 million paid brand partnerships by 2032.

HOW IT STARTED…

I wanted to quickly share the story behind why I started Creator Wizard 🧙‍♂️ and why I feel so strongly about helping creators like you negotiate better sponsorship deals, build a more diversified income & a sustainable career.

Firstly, who am I?

Before becoming a creator 10+ years ago, I actually worked in the medical device industry!

I owe everything to my wife April who started making videos as a hobby (this was back before you could really make money on social media!) & her channel really started to get traction. 📈

It wasn’t long before brands started reaching out to collaborate with her and she asked me to help figure out the business side of things like interpreting the contracts she was getting.

I also started making cameos in some of her videos. 🤣 😂

We started a cooking channel and a family vlog channel and did DAILY videos 😅 for several years, eventually growing our total following to over 1,500,000!

Six weeks after our first son Liam was born, I quit my 9-5 job and we both officially became full-time creators.

…WHy creator wizard.

Back then, the ad revenue that we made from YouTube was 95% of our income and sponsorships were 5%.

It became clear pretty quickly that we needed to diversify, so I decided to start an influencer marketing agency focused on pairing family-friendly creators with brands (which ultimately paid out millions of dollars to those creators)! 🤑

How important are sponsorships now?

Well, these days, our income from our social platforms is 95% sponsorships and 5% YouTube ad revenue (a complete flip-flop). 😱

In fact...

We've earned over $4,000,000 working with brands. 👀

The speed at which things change in the influencer/creator landscape is so fast and it can give you whiplash if you’re not prepared.

From algorithm changes to burnout to competing with thousands of other creators, you have to grow a thick skin and roll with the punches. 🥊

BUT it’s also the most exciting time to be a creator!

There are SO many more tools out there to create amazing content + SO many more ways to monetize than ever before!

Things like fan-funding, merch, digital products (courses, ebooks, etc.), coaching, premium content and more! 💸

At the same time, there are BIG changes happening on the business side of things.

Pretty much every brand now has a dedicated “Influencer Marketing Manager,” a title that essentially didn’t exist when we started.

Plus, there are literally hundreds of platforms now where creators can sign up and apply for paid sponsorship campaigns with brands.

*And* the money just keeps pouring into the influencer marketing space -- brands are on track to spend billions of dollars this year.

So how can a creator like you make sense of it all?

What should you focus on?

There is a lot of advice out there focused on content/platform strategy, how to get more followers/views/downloads, how to optimize your feed, etc.

But almost no advice around advanced negotiation, pricing, and pitching strategies when it comes to working with brands!

...that's where Creator Wizard comes in. 😎
